Firstly, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to visit my website; I could not be more grateful for the ongoing support.
My name is Bethany Holland, founder of Bethany Rae.
I am 24, work for the NHS Ambulance Service and I'm a country girl at heart.
I began Bethany Rae in 2017, under the name 'The Country Ladies Closet'. From humble beginnings, sparked from a combination of my passion for vintage and my love for the countryside.
Purchasing a handful of vintage country themed scarves from a local vintage sale and selling to friends, I began to gradually expand my collection, also later introducing my now well known handmade vintage mink boot tassels.
As the business grew, I dreamt of launching my own line of accessories.
Having invested every penny earnt selling vintage back into the business, in 2019 I was able to launch my very own line of luxury and affordable cowhide leather accessories.
I came across a small cowhide seller online, falling in love with their products I felt compelled to reach out to them.
My wonderful supplier is a family business based in Pakistan. With 10 years of crafting experience, they use by-product hides to create the accessory range you see today.
Starting with a handful of cowhide purses, their quality, individuality and ergonomic style captivated me. And so our range was born!
Working together to design logos for the collection (we rebranded at this point too) alongside products I felt were missing from the market and together we have built Bethany Rae; a growing brand standing for the use of natural materials to create breathtaking unique products.
All of these are hand-selected and packed from my home in Dorset.
2020 marked the launch of our very own clothing line. Visiting our supplier in London we were shown breathtaking handmade Toscana garments and knew they belonged with Bethany Rae. Each piece is handmade by expert crafters, with bespoke orders and plus sizes also available to our customers.
What is Toscana & why is it special?
Toscana is a rare form of sheepskin, sourced from sheep who live in the Spanish Mountains. Unlike standard sheepskin, Toscana has a plush fur-like appearance with satin-smooth hide outer. Feeling as soft & as warm as animal fur, but like normal sheepskin, entirely ethically sourced as a by-product.
Thank you for taking the time to read our journey so far, I hope you love the products as much as I do.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, I will respond as soon as I can.
